For ranges being installed on natural gas use the following procedure.

If the inner cone flame is set correctly, do not adjust the flame length. If adjustment is required, place a wrench on the orifice hood and turn it until the desired flame is obtained for the high setting. Facing the range turn the orifice hood clockwise to increase the flame size and counterclockwise to decrease flit, flame size. The complete flame should be blue in color. The small cone in the center of the flame should be sharp in shape, greenish-blue in color, and about inch long. For ranges being used on LP gas use the following procedure. Using a wrench on the orifice hood, tighten the orifice hood until it is snug. Do not force the orifice hood. The HI and LOW valve is a three-position valve with o definite setting for each position. If adjustment is required for the three-position valve, proceed according to the following instructions. HI position Turn the valve knob to HI and adjust as described for the standard valve. MED position No adjustment is necessary for the MED position. The flame from this setting should be about 1 inch above the burner cap. LOW position Turn the valve counterclockwise to LOW setting. Pull the valve knob from the control shaft and adjust the flame by turning the adjustment screw marked "A." Turn the screw clockwise to decrease counterclockwise to increase the flame size. The LOW should be barely visible in a well-lighted room. On ranges with electronic ignition, a high-voltage spark electrode assembly is used in place of the gas pilot the spark ignites the gas at the flash tube just as the gas stove do.

Fine-Tuning the Stove Flame
Turn the stove burner on to its highest setting. Open the stove shutter slightly to turn yellow tipped flames blue close it to quiet a noisy, irregular flame. After adjusting the stove shutter, tighten the setscrew and close the stove top.

Stove Surface Burner Spark Module
A solid-state stove module having two ignition points is. Stove module produces a high voltage (about 15 kilo-volts) by a capacitor discharging into a pulse transformer which sends impulses to the electrodes at the rate of 2 sparks. It is rated for 120 volts, 60 hertz, but will operate with 85 to 110 percent of the rated voltage. The stove module call is tested by directly connecting 120 volts to the LI and N terminals. Stove modules with a griddle burner have three electrode assemblies, and are equipped with a spark module having four ignition points. The fourth unused stove spark output must be grounded to the stove body for proper operation of the stove module.
